Last week (February 13) saw chancellor Gordon Brown deliver
a key speech on security. He backed tougher anti-terrorism
laws, and called for a crackdown on those who glorified terrorist
acts. The content of the speech was serious but unremarkable.
Brown's comments were totally consistent with the government's
anti-terror policy.
