Don't expect a tearful farewell party in Brussels when Tony
Blair bids farewell to Downing Street in the next few months.
During ten years in power the prime minister's relationships
with his fellow European leaders never quite hit the levels
of bonhomie that he struck up with his counterparts across the
Atlantic, and Blair will be pleased that short-haul continental
flights can be scratched from his itinerary.
